Bucket Collectors/Event Volunteers
We look for volunteers to help at various fundraising events throughout the year. If you enjoy meeting people and can spare a couple of hours, you could join our charity collection team. These collections are a vital part of our fundraising activity and take place mainly in Limerick City and Ennis, Co Clare. Shifts are normally 2-3 hours long. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.Administration Support
We always need extra administration support as we operate with limited administration staff. In this role, you’ll help with processing donations, thanking donors, data entry, updating social media and answering email enquiries. This role needs excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong IT skills.Services Volunteer
We are looking for volunteer Hairdressers/Barbers, Physical Therapists, and Fitness Instructors who can provide services directly to our clients. We are also looking for volunteers to work in our kitchen to help prepare meals for our clients.Volunteer Driver
We require a volunteer to collect and deliver donations throughout the region using Mid West Simon’s company van. A full driver’s licence is required for this role.Volunteer Coordinator
The role would require someone to work with several Mid West Simon staff, organising various volunteer roles and liaising with the volunteers themselves. You’ll be responsible for interviewing and hiring volunteers and placing them in different roles based on their qualifications or background.

I have been a volunteer for Mid West Simon Community for four years and I find this a very rewarding opportunity for me. I get to help my fellow workers in the warehouse where I have met many wonderful people, but I also get first-hand experience in dealing with the people who come to the food bank. Volunteering with Mid West Simon Community gives me a sense of worth even if it’s only one day a week. This is a great benefit to me and my wellbeing. Along with helping in the warehouse and the food bank I also do some fundraising which I find very enjoyable. I hope that what I can do helps. I love the work I do for the Mid West Simon Community and hope that I get to do it for a long time to come.”
Join Our Volunteer Fundrasing Group
As a member of our volunteer fundraising group, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness in the Mid-West region.
By joining us, you will be part of a dedicated team working towards a common goal of fundraising that will provide support and resources to individuals and families in need. As a volunteer, you can contribute your time, skills, and ideas to help organise fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the Mid West Simon Community.
Your involvement will benefit those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and provide you with a sense of fulfilment and purpose knowing that you are making a positive impact in your community.
Whether you have experience in fundraising or are looking to gain new skills and experiences, we welcome individuals who are committed, compassionate, and willing to dedicate their time to support this important cause.

Corporate Volunteer Days
We welcome employees from corporate companies to volunteer in groups. We have lots of projects in Limerick and Clare that require volunteer support, include gardening, painting, and general maintenance. Please contact Gearoid.quilty@mwsimon.ie for more information.
